AI VENTURE STUDIO

We build companies and
help others build theirs.

Kalea Ventures identifies meaningful problems — then builds and backs technology ventures to solve them.

What we believe

AI is the most powerful tool

We help people doing meaningful work benefit from it — and share what we learn along the way.

Patrik Deuss
Founder & CEO, Kalea Ventures

Patrik Deuss is a serial entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in building startups. While still at university, he founded his first e-commerce venture Cheapster.

In 2017, he co-founded LEDCity, a cleantech company with the bold mission to revolutionize the lighting industry and save so much energy that one nuclear power plant could be shut down. He raised over CHF 7M capital from investors and banks, and employed in total over 100 team colleagues.

Today, he runs Kalea Ventures, where he builds AI-powered products, coaches founders and speaks at conferences and universities, and invests in technology companies solving meaningful problems. Through his work, he shares honest lessons from the startup world — from success and growth to failure and uncertainty — aiming to inspire founders and leaders while offering an authentic perspective on the realities of building a company.
